This shawl is named after a waterfall called Falls of Foyer that feeds into the famous deep freshwater Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland. It is worked down and out from the centre of the top edge. There is an option to make a nice stretchy upper neck edge by adding a yarnover after the very first stitch of every row (RS and WS) and then drop it again on the following row.
YARN:
The Fibre Co. Road to China Light (65% baby alpaca, 15%silk, 10% camel, 10% cashmere, 145 m (159 yds) per 50 g hank) in Hematite 5 hanks.
NEEDLES:
3.5 mm circular needles
TENSION/GAUGE:
10 sts x 20 rows over 5 cm x 5 cm in garter stitch, blocked
GARMENT MEASUREMENTS:
180 cm wingspan along top edge and 40 cm deep
